well, we can clearly see how consistant i've been. :P it's been better than a month since i've last posted, but i have enjoyed reading up on all of you again. it's a blessing to have wonderful friends that make me laugh, smile, think, or gain hope...for the future and all of that.

work is still work. i applied in january for a nanny position - and i thought everything went very well during the interviews - but they went with a more 'grandma' like nanny. it seems i am always losing to those types, so i daresay i am done trying in that department.

the kittens are all still precious, but shedding whole-cats-worth of fur off their little bodies. i swear...i had no idea kitties had this much hair.

we finally got pots and pans. can i tell you how thrilled i am about this?! in the same week as the pots and pans, we got a real can opener - the electric kind - i am so, so excited. the pots and pans we had were these cheapies from wal-mart, and everything stuck to them - it was so, so awful. but now we have these amazing calphalon hard anodized pro signature series ones that just make me feel massively inspired to cook. lol my favorite piece is a wok, since i make stir fry all the time. it's one of my favorite meals, and it helps me feel full. since i've gone vegitarian that's been a little harder to come by.

yes, you heard me right - i've gone vegitarian. i'm not strict - i had meat (even red meat, ew) at my parents party the other night because i didn't want to be rude...especially since it was a rather large party - but let me tell you, that ripped me up! so, if i'm going somewhere, i'll eat meat if that's what's being served, but otherwise, i try to avoid it. there are some exceptions even to that - deli turkey, or sometimes chicken - but mostly it's veggies and pastas, and grains and seafood for me. i'm really enjoying that side of things.

i worked out with my sister in law yesterday. whew. we really worked out. our flappy arms, thighs, ran/walked, did the bicycle thingy - goodness - you'd think we did that all the time! we're both feeling it today, but looking forward to tomorrow. we're going to work out mondays, wednesdays and fridays, and then do yoga on tues and thurs...to keep the lactic acid out. it's just really good stretching - keeps things moving.

we are bad fish owners. i'm thinking i'm just going to leave it at that.

i've been reading some lately - nothing too fabulous christian-wise, but definitely comical. 'scuse me while i kill this guy' made me laugh so hard i was often out of breath. it's entirely an adult book - with no descriptive inappropriateness, but many innuendos. the next ones i'm reading are one for the money by jane(t?) evanovich. so far, so good. very interesting, to say the least. there's 13 in that series.

the wedding planning stuff continues to move forward. it's a lot of work, but the start up costs (insofar) aren't nearly what i was fearing. of course, when i get incorporated, and take out an insurance policy on the company, it'll be more money, but as for now, things are going fairly well. i picked up two weddings this month - one is supposed to be in 60 days, and the other one is in sept. or oct.

if you guys could keep my best friend in your prayers...aside from my husband, he's my best friend. anyway, he's about to be deployed to afghanistan, and he's a medic in the army. if you could just pray that the Lord will bring him home in one piece, alive, and all still attached to himself, keep his heart sensitive, and keep him safe, i would really appreciate it. the other day, i saw a sticker that said 'some hero's wear a cape, mine wears combat boots' - and i thought of lara and sarah. :)

it's coming up on a year since i got pregnant. she would have been about 3 months or so by now. i know i need to stop, i just don't have any real outlets for her...talking about her and whatnot.

anyway... i need to go to get ready for work. i hope you're all having a splendid day, and i'm hoping to write more tomorrow, or the day after. :)

work, miscarriage, kittens, kitchen stuff, wedding planning, army, reading
