i watched devil wears prada and thought it was pretty good. i loved emily's hair through the movie, and i loved the mod-style bangs that andy sported throughout the movie as well. i thought that meryl streep played her character well, but i don't know that it was oscar worthy. the screenplay was well written conversationally, and i absolutely loved the attention to detail. lily's reaction to andy was rediculous, and it was very interesting to see how everything panned out. i would watch it again - but not for a while.
work was amazing today. i folded down the whole girl's sale, which made all of my bosses love me dearly - and i know that i'm adding to my reputation by being consistant and productive when i work. it's going really well. i'm definitely reserved about taking the promotion still - i enjoy coming to work, doing my thing for 6 hours and then leaving.
i got permission from the pastor to talk to the kids in the youth group about sex. it's really important for the kids, at this age, to really develop their own morals in regards to keeping and maintaining their purity. i took a poll tonight of all the kids - anonymously of course - and two of the eight that were there (we were missing kids tonight) aren't virgins - no one in the group is older than 16. it's sad. but it's necessary to make the lessons impactful to each of the kids, every week that i'm teaching. craig will be with me on this lesson, and i'm happy about that. i'm actually very excited for both of us to be teaching.
we have dinner tomorrow night at a friends house - that's cool. then we're going to dinner at my sister's on-a-break-boyfriend's house in two weeks. i'm meeting with one of my newly married friends in probably a week, and then with my sweet bridesmaid that was such a great sister to me that last month before the wedding. i'm very excited to see her.
the magazine should be printed off entirely on sat, and that includes addressing. they should then be mailed on monday. for those of you that wrote for the magazine, your first names only are being put in (except charity, for the review on the movie about esther, since i took it directly from charitysplace.com).
i think that's all i know. i have work almost all day tomorrow, and i can't wait to get started on girls 2. :D (if you saw it, you'd tell me i'm crazy - but i already know that... ;))
