quick testimony

okay, so last night at work, this kid said - my girlfriend just got into an accident, and someone went through the windshield.

what? i said. so i walked over to him to get the story.

apparently his 16 year old girlfriend (who was recently told that she can not under any circumstances give anyone rides) was driving several friends home in her truck. one of them couldn't fit in the cab, so he got in the bed of the truck. her brakes weren't working so when she came up to a red light, she went right through it and subsequently hit another car. in the meantime - guy-in-the-back went through the back windshield of her car, and wasn't breathing.

apparently absolutely no one that i was working with last night realized the severity of the situation as they all started talking about how she was going to jail, blah blah blah. the bigger picture here is that there's a kid that's dead, she's the driver, she just hit someone else, and she could be going to jail for involuntary manslaughter. okay, so everyone is talking about how stupid she is, and i said - guys - let's have some compassion here - this is his girlfriend. one minute beforehand everything was fine and good. the next - her life and several families lives were changed forever.

as soon as i heard i called craig and asked him to pray for this situation. then i called my mom, and asked her and my brother to pray. in the meantime, craig called our friends - two sets of them - and asked them to pray.

15 minutes later i went up to the kid and asked him for his girlfriends number. he was really hesitant to give it (probably because he hits on all the girls at work and doesn't want her to know) - but after i said that i had all these people praying, he said - oh really? that's really cool - and gave me her number. 2 minutes later, he got a text saying that the guy came back to life and was doing fine.

everyone in the store was going - how did that happen? that's not possible. etc. etc.

but i know how it happened, and what is impossible to man is possible with Christ.

God is faithful, even when we don't see how it's possible for him to intervene.

prayer, testimony, good things
