(no subject)
okay - so though i don't agree with the harry potter thing, that's what we're watching tonight. i'm busying myself with the computer, but i'm still half-watching. i don't like it because of the way it supports witchcraft...but so does mary poppins, snow white, and sleeping beauty - all of which i have seen repeatedly. so i have to pick my poison - so to speak. how much of a hypocrite do i intend to be? i do enjoy the movies - what i have seen of them. but it does openly glorify witchcraft, whereas the other named movies only skillfully weave them into the story so that you can hardly tell that they are there. which is worse?
moving along, i've been slow moving today. craig talked me into a nap without much effort and instead of his "short" nap, i wound up sleeping for 2 hours. and he didn't wake me up until well after it was dark. :P i'm still intending to cut my hair today.
yes - i'm going to cut my own. i'm tired of the crunchies, and since i'm trying to lay off the dying, i want it to be healthy. that's going to take a while, because if i cut off all the bad, i would need to go back to super-super short hair, which i'm not ready for yet.
we went out to the house today. they haven't started with the drywall yet, and they failed an inspection on friday. our house is being pushed back to late january at this point - and that's not a bad thing, because for the loan we're looking to do we need to bring money to the table. sucky as it is, that's how it's looking atm. so, two months to aquire this money will be supremely helpful. i would like to be in by mid-feb, in the even it gets pushed back again, i want to set myself up for that.
i was going to post about something great - but i can't remember what it was. oh yeah, i got the book "breaking free" by beth moore. i'm hoping to start an online study at the beginning of the year as well as a real life study. i bought the book now so that i can work my way through it and see about lead the series. i think it will be beneficial as i've only heard good things about it. if this is something you're interested in joining up with, please let me know when you can. i would LOVE to have as many of you as i can to do it. i'll probably create another lj community, with a locked membership, and all locked posts. What said with us stays with us.
