a moderately productive day...
for once, i've had a productive day by staying in bed until past noon and i'm still in my pajamas. i've sent my resume into at least 1 company, and created a list of companies about 8 long for companies to go in and personally visit. there are a couple that really appeal to me. i'm trying to base my decisions off of interest-of-the-job rather than the money. the money is a huge factor in picking out the 9 that i have so far today, but only if it's something i truly think i'll look forward to getting up every day for.
the reality is that i'm a hugely busy person, and that doesn't slow down because i don't have a wedding to plan anymore. with the start of this magazine (now set to be released in jan), the youth group, babysitting, window washing, the upcoming mortgage, as well as the upcoming decorating for the house (er...really, just the moving in part) - i haven't got a lot of free/spare time on my hands to give. i absolutely have to have a job that revolves around a 8 or 9 to 5 pattern, and i really can't afford a weekend variance, other than an occassional meeting. the fact is that mondays will soon be practice, tuesdays will be softball, wednesdays will be church, thursdays will be babysitting, and fridays will be either babysitting...but hopefully time with craig. saturdays will be softball and sundays will be chilling out. in here i'm also needing to stay on top of our room, craig's parents house, the laundry, and the game. seriously...there's just a lot. i'm not overwhelmed, i just happen to know my limitations. and thusly understand why i truly can't work a restaurant job (besides my wrist problem) - and i probably can't do any fast-foody type place like starbucks or subway or whatever. i need to be making roughly 600 a week - and taking on two holiday jobs to make up 40 hours a week at 7 dollars an hour miserably fails that goal.
i do have a driving job on the monday after thanksgiving. i have also managed to pick up two babysitting jobs, and i'll have windows on friday or saturday. i also will be working for dad one day this week, at the minimum.
i have a list of things that need to get done today, and tomorrow will be equally busy - so i'm going to go. first things first i'm taking a shower and eating. then i'm going to be driving around applying for jobs, and picking things up as i need them. i also have quite a bit of cleaning to do today, between my car, the bathroom, the living room and the kitchen. fortunately, it's only the kitchen counter. if we can just stay on top of what's already accomplished, cleaning new things will be much easier.
