an update that isn't the meme!
oh man guys. so some of you may have been bothered by me recently asking you to draw a cartoon picture of your friday night.
well, i also asked all of my friends who are abroad or wandering, my friends from and in hong kong, and my friends from home. the responses have been excellent, even from those abroad.
here are some of the stories for which i will soon be getting pictures in the mail.
one of my friends talked with an ex-combatant turned revolutionary peace activist about politics peace and life, drank bad wine, and got a few kisses as well.
another was driving home long distances, and managed to drive through/by/near enough to a tornado to scare her witless not once, but twice, thanks to weather patterns.
still one more spent her night on a moonlit beach, talking and drinking with a wonderful fellow who held her hand over the table and dreamt about riding horses and picking avacados right off the trees.
still more have promised illustrations in the mail. i'm really enjoying this.
if all of you out there have yet to draw your friday, april 14th, and would like to... please, it's fun. hand it to me or send it to box 472. its not for any class, just to have a record of what all sorts of amazing people were doing on the same night.
