so, I'm really excited because Sunday/Monday we're going to be in Manchester to watch Cirque de Soliel and I've never seen it before. I'm worried it will be some stupid artsy-farsty circus shit, and the only type of circus stuff I like is the REALLY impressive stuff. Because of camp and seeing the trapeze and fire eating/breathing and whatever so much I'm really jaded with a lot of novelty circus stuff. The last thing I can remember being really excited about was when I went to this Chinese circus act at USAO.
It was really incredible, they did some of the craziest shit I've ever seen. A woman spun something like 10 plates at once, while balancing another woman on her head (who was also on HER head upside-down, so they were skull-to-skull if that makes sense) and this second woman was also spinning plates. It looked so effortless.
I must also confess, I'm actually mainly excited because we are going to an outlet of a store I've really wanted to go to for months and months called
cath kidston where I'm for sure going to get a new purse. It is like a light of hope in a world where I've been seriously unable to find any purse I liked at all, anywhere. A lot of shit I like is popular right now (like tooled leather and saddlebags) but everything I find in stores is so boring and plain, or cheaply made. I just can't bring myself to shop for clothes or accessories online at retail prices, not knowing how they're going to look in person. The last thing I want is to buy a purse that looks great and is big enough, but has an interior made up of that plastic-like fabric that beads and rips easily (don't know what it's called).
I just hate that I have images of the exact types of things I want but can never seem to find them. If I ever become rich somehow, the first thing I am doing is starting my own line of clothing and my own personal wardrobe custom made. I'll finally be able to look exactly how I want!!!!!
I really didn't mean to go off on a tangent about this stuff AGAIN. I set out to mention everything going on in my life but it just turns into a rant, Lol.
Um, in other news we are almost done picking out pictures for the wedding album. We haven't started on thank you cards yet but I have confidence we'll get a few done tomorrow. I started LUNAR: harmony of silver star the other day and it's very nostalgic but has some loading time issues and is overall much slower than the PS1 version. You used to be able to dodge enemies, but not anymore. Alex is just too fucking slow at walking, and there's no run button! Honestly.
Still trying to finish up the Phoenix Wright games so I can play the Edgeworth game. Every case is hours long though, and if you stop in the middle you'll never figure out where stuff is going so you have to restart or use a guide. I am going to try to use most of the 4 hour drive to Manchester to finish up if I can.
Also looking forward to POKEMON this month!!!!!!!!!! I got my copy reserved on Amazon, so exciting. I'll be taking my little pedometer thing on my walks to and from town like a good little pokemon trainer.
