This question will probably be easy for some of you to answer, but I don't know the answer and am curious.
Did Ayn Rand identify herself as an Objectivist, libertarian, or both? What type of philosophy do you believe she practiced?
I'm asking this because I recently encountered some antilibertarian prejudice in another community, from a user who seemed to believe Ayn Rand was an archetypal libertarian and an example of the badness of libertarianism. Personally, I think people should categorize her by the identity she chose. I also believe people should not stereotype all libertarians as the same.
