If there was a Mandatory Mandate for HPV

Libertarians often speak of government as a necessary evil, as we know there are times when all available options are unfavorable, though some options may seem more favorable to us. Let us consider the necessity that if government must take a role in a thing, we must support the legislation that benefits society most (I mean, detriments society the ( Read more... )

I think you need to go back to health class.

Men do not get HPV, but they are carriers of it. So any woman who is involved with a man who has ever slept with a woman who is infected at any point in his life is at risk.

I will say that it is a good thing for you that attitudes like this absolutely guarantee that you will never need worry about contracting an STD.

Human papillomavirus is a virus(notice the word virus in the name). If you are carrying it. You've got it, period. There are NO sex specific virii

Do have to actively work at saying stupid shit? Or does it just come naturally?

I don't need to go back to health class. Men do get HPV. The symptoms do not manifest themselves. At most, you're just calling me a male chauvinist and not attacking my premises.

I will say that it is a good thing for you that

Your joke is so easily thought of that everyone who posted before you thought it up and decided not to use it because it is so banal. I don't mind insults, just make them interesting.

Well, I stand corrected. A couple of my male friends have HPV and made the claim that there are no symptoms for males, but that could have been for only certain types or they were lying, etc.

There are many strains. some go away. Some persist for life. Some cause cervical cancer. Some warts.

The worst part is that the asymptomatic strains are the most dangerous for women. So the strains you are least likely to know a guy has are the most likely to cause problems.

Men don't get HPV? I think you're incorrect there. Men don't get cervical cancer, but they do get HPV. Symptoms sometimes include genital warts.

Men can get HPV, but they can often be asymptomatic and/or undetectable via STD tests (which is what I think he meant by the term "carrier").

Yes that was what I meant, generally speaking men who are infected with HPV have no symptoms whatsoever. I meant they do not get the disease (ie. the symptoms associated with the infection), not that they are not infected by the virus at all.

"I meant they do not get the disease"
Then you're still wrong dumb shit.
They get the disease. They are simply asymptomatic.

And that changes the point of my post (that it is not only "reckless sluts" who have to worry about HPV because men can carry the virus and be completely asymptomatic) how?
