....christmas cheer!!!!!!!!!!...
had a wonderful day today. i'm sure most of the people who read this thing are already aware.
we had the christmas stuff going on at work. they gave us a very good lunch, chicken parmesaen (how the FUCK do you spell that anyway?), lasagna, breadsticks, salad, potatoes cheesecake and chocolate cake and assorted beverages. it was delicious, and very nice of my job to supply. they shelled out a lot of money for everything today.
then they did candy cane gift giveaways. which was nice and sad at the same time. you draw a candy cane from the box, and you get the appropriate gift. most were just candy bags, some with lotto tickets in them. some were really nice gifts. i got a 15 dollar target gift card. misty and fer got candy bags, and that was the sad part. i realize that it was nice enough of my job to get as many actual presents as they did, but i was sad that not everyone got one.
then we brought Autumn some christmas joy. it was the nicest thing i've seen in awhile. Like 13 people each got both her children at least one thing apiece, which is already like 26 things. some people got more too, and they weren't shoddy cheap gifts either. they were nice presents.
lacy had a friend who has a santa suit and plays santa. so she had him dress up like santa, and arranged for autumn to meet us up there with her kids. autumn had no idea. santa comes out with a large sack of gifts (that didn't even hold like half the presents) ho' ho' hoing. she was so happy she cried (so did the kids, cause they were scared of santa, but it was okay). i teared up a little too, just cause i'm emotional.
it was really a wonderful thing for everyone to get together to do.
