People Should All Be Equal Damnit!
Alrighty, so I was having this big discussion with people about world issues that are going on right now so I decided to talk about it. People are welcome to comment on whatever they think about the issues just don't do it in a way that is trying to convince me my views are wrong. I hate when people try to push their views on others. Ok so one of the issues was about people who are gay. In my opinion I think it is their business and none of ours. If it makes two people happy and it does not personally affect you, why is that a bad thing? I think that it is great if you can find someone that you love that loves you back, who cares what your sexual preference is. Basically, since its not hurting anyone and it makes them happy, then its kinda like whatever floats your boat. Gay marriage however I do kind of disagree with only a little. I think that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that's just how I see that. But I do think there should be some type of thing for gay couples who love each other, some type of similar celebration, etc. But legally its starting to get weird in the common law sense. For example I read this thing where these two girls who lived in some state in the US, i forget which, were living together for I guess however long it is to qualify for a common law marriage, and so even tho they werent in a relationship, when they had gotten into a fight and one girl sued the other for half her stuff cause she claimed they had a common law marriage. How stupid is that!? Legal wise they need to change things, but then again what if it had been a guy and a girl living together, tho not in a relationship and the same thing happened? Arg that is just so stupid of the other person to do that, even if u were in a fight. Yeah so another thing is about gay couples being parents, I think that it can be a wonderful thing and that they can make great parents! I can also understand the other side of things, such as it can be confusing to the child in a way, and that the child could be teased at school, etc, but some gay parents can be better than some regular parents. I think that if you have 2 people that love and care for u, its all u need. Hell even if u have one, u should feel lucky. It shouldn't matter what their sexual preference is. Then there is this racial issue. I believe that no one should be penalized just because of their race, but I also believe that no one should get special treatment just because of their race either. People should all be just treated equal damnit! This was to be the "politically correct" generation, but instead we find that many races are not just being treated with the same rights, but special priviledges. I feel like I am s'posed to feel ashamed for being white, when I almost feel guilty for being proud of who I am. Just because I am proud to be white, does not mean that I am against other races, far from it. I think that if two people were going up against each other for the same job (for an example) that it should be completely equal! Neither one of them should not get that job just because they were a specific race, but they shouldn't get that job just because of it either. Because of certain special treatment that is still going on, some people in our generation are becoming racist, and that has nothing to do with they're upbringing, but what they have experienced or seen first hand. Arg, c'mon now people, things should just never be based on a persons race, sexual preference, religion, financial situation or even gender. This is my belief, people may disagree with me, and its ok if you do, you're intitled to your opinion, but this is what I believe in. G2g, sorry for the rant.
