Dude, it's been a year since my decently huge change started taking place. I remember chilling out on a rainy day in Bad Axe waiting for my car's mufflers to be changed before I made the journey back to The Central. I was certainly all down-trodden about the recent break-up of my relationship with Alyssa. Then at some point between Bay City and Midland I think the idea of a random trip to anywhere came to me.

At first, I thought maybe I would do this the weekend before 2008 Spring Break: Paul and I would be driving back to Harbor Beach as I take the exit toward MBS International Airport. He'd either not notice the departure from the regular route because he's bad with directions or he'd ask what the hell I was doing. At any rate I'd tell him that I was going to go buy a ticket for the next plane departure that I could get, that he'd be driving my car the rest of the way back to Harbor Beach, and that I'd be back to drive us back to MP by break's end.

From that realization that departure from "responsibilities" and normality came my nomadic era. I still entertain that idea from time to time, but I think I've come to the conclusion that I am not yet ready for such a task as surviving outside of society's powerful grasp. Voluntary minimalism is the route I wish to take, at least I think it is...

Hell! The week I spent outside in Mt. Pleasant has already seen it's 1 year anniversary!

There are times when I see myself as a 20 year old male with no concrete life-goal that is living at his parents' house in a rural Michigan city, his friends only being seen one weekend a month (unless you count me seeing a GTA IV avatar that represents Paul when we play online). That I am just wasting my life away doing dishes at some Huron-County-upscale restaurant. These times usually make me go down the depressed road for the day/night.

There are times when I see myself as 20 year old male with no concrete life-goal, yada yada yada, and I smile because does it matter?

I know I do not want to live here for the rest of my life. I am trying to build my savings back up -- paying my $50 a month loan payment -- in order to move, possibly, to Ann Arbor and be near my godson. If I can't bring in enough by next Summer then I might try to find alternative funds; fold up my pride and ask my grandma.

My train of thought has broken. I'm just going to jam on some Spoon and think.
