I never really watched Meet the Press, because I can't stand those Sunday talking heads shows, but I watch NBC Nightly News regularly and he's often a commentator - shit, I mean he *was* - there and on Keith Olbermann's show, so I've gotten to see him a lot, and I've always liked him. He seemed like the least obnoxious, least offensive moderator of that genre show. Also, according to that link he was a Democrat, which I didn't know because he was always so objective in his commentating.
I'm really sad to see him go. He was really relatively young, and this is so sudden.
