And as sad as this makes me... as worried as I am about how we'll ever replace him... we had forty more years of Teddy than we did Jack and Bobby, who were stolen from us.
As of this moment, they're still not sure what kind of tumor it is and, depending on the exact kind, he could have as little as six months or as long as several more years. Which still says exactly nothing.
Here's hoping it's several more years. Although I noticed the other day that the New York Post had an almost gleeful headline saying he's dying - you'd think they'd be sad, because they won't have their favorite punching bag around anymore. Grrrr.

Ted Kennedy is absolutely irreplacable, but you're right, at least we had those extra 40 years of him.

On the bright side, as my co-worker pointed out, if anyone can afford top-notch oncology care, it's the Kennedys. Fingers crossed.
