I Fucking Hate That Song, But It's The Principle Of The Matter
This pisses me off way more than it should. Seriously John McCain, you thought John Mellancamp would be okay with you using one of his songs? MORON. What is it with Republicans misapropriating songs by liberals for their campaigns? Ronald Reagan using "Born in the USA" is the classic example, but there's also Bush trying to use Democratic congressman John Hall's song for his 04 campaign. And I'm sure there's a bunch more examples I'm too lazy to google for at the moment.
