Yeah, I didn't mean to ignore that aspect, which is also very disturbing, but I'm only sorta surprised by anti-Semitism from Nixon's people. The callous killing and/or cooking of companion animals is less expected.

The dog-barbecuing story names Fred Malek V, aged 22...surely not the Fred Malek who once worked for Nixon. FYI

Maybe a son or grandson of the Malek appointed by McCain?

On the contrary, "Frederick V. Malek" looks to me like his middle initial was V, not that he was the fifth Fred Malek. And he was 22, but the date of the dog incident was 1959. Assuming it's not a different Fred Malek entirely, which is not impossible, that's the right age to be the one who worked for Nixon.
