Just a couple quick links that caught my eye this morning.

++ Bush's approval ratings slip to another new low, 30%.

++ Corrupt, bribe-taking Louisisana Rep William Jefferson won the runoff election and gets to keep his seat. Bleh.

++ "Banker to Poor" recieves Nobel Peace Prize.

++ BBC asks, Should more countries be allowing votes at 16?. ( Read more... )

Not completely surprised by Jefferson being reelected. Hell...we reelected Nagin and look how that's going for us. Sadly I think her lost is because this past week Carter got on the bad side of one more powerful political people in Jefferson Parish. Sheriff Harry Lee made it known this past week his very strong dislike of Carter which screwed her over when it comes to the Westbank Jefferson Parish part of District 2. You see Carter critized Lee after the storm about not letting the people cross the CCC into the westbank when they were trapped at the Convention Center.

One can hope that Chilly Willy will be indicted and perhaps they will have Carter replace him.
