I know everyone's probably off watching Dr. Who or having lives or something, but... Did you guys hear about this? Representative Foley has resigned after emails and IMs of him hitting on an underage House page became public. I heard yesterday he claimed they were just friendly emails... uh... apparently not. Yesterday's creepy "can I have a picture of you" email has just been trumped by today's "did you spank it this weekend" IM. Ew! I don't even want to read beyond that.
And Hastert knew. And let him stay. And according to AmericaBlog, let him be chair of some child sex offender caucus. (Uh... surely there should be an "anti" in there?) ETA: Never mind, it was the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus. Also, the House Page Board was told about this... and did... uh... it's not clear.
