First there was George Allen and the "blacks can't swim" dude. Then there was the
Louisiana school bus driver who thought it was ok to make the black kids sit in the back of the bus. Now we have a
Nebraska State Trooper who joined the Klan and a
Missisippi Baptist church expelling a twelve-year-old boy because he's biracial. They were afraid he'd bring his black family members to church, and Lord knows, we can't have that.
What. the. fuck.
In signs that the crazy hasn't entirely taken over in Saltillo, MS, the pastor of that church resigned that same day, as did a local police officer. So at least that kid hasn't been entirely abandoned by his church, but damn, can you imagine? He asked Jesus to live in his heart... I guess he should have prayed for Jesus to visit these upstanding churchgoing people once in awhile.
Speaking of police officers, and sanity, about that Nebraska cop... after being fired for joining the KKK, he's been reinstated. "Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses." Apparently firing his racist ass violated his First Amendment rights, or so an arbitrator said. His union's attorney said, "Bob Henderson wasn't running around in a sheet and hood."
Uh, 'scuse me, but I think the standard should be a wee bit higher than that. "Bob Henderson didn't actually hang anybody from a tree!" He should keep his job because he wasn't really serious about hating "the darkies" and considering whites a "master race"? At the very least, his joining a racist organization because his wife "divorced him for a minority" demonstrates incredible ignorance, immaturity, and lack of judgement. All of which are valid reasons to fire him from a job where he deals with the public and carries a gun. This isn't about freedom of association. He didn't happen to join a bowling league where some of the guys were racists. He joined the stinkin' KKK, for chrissakes. His ass needs to stay fired.
Out of their damn minds...
