CNN:
The Capitol complex was locked down on Friday after reports of gunfire in a garage and a separate report that a man had a gun in a Rayburn building gym.
"At 10:30 this morning, we received a report of shots fired inside the Rayburn garage," Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, a public information officer for the Capitol Police, said.
"At this time, we continue to investigate. We have tactical teams inside the building."
Updates as they come.
ETA:
CNN is reporting that the Capitol Building is still open to legislators and tourists. Only the Rayburn Buidling and Parking Lot are under lock down. The DC Capitol Police are going door-to-door in the Rayburn Building to investigate. There are reports that the lockdown could last several hours.
ETA2:
There will be a Capitol Police press conference at 1:30PM ET.
The investigation is standard operating procedure. CNN congressional correspondents report a sense of calm and cooperation. There is no panic about a loose gunman. A member of Rep. Kingston's staff was "shaken up" and taken to the hospital this morning. She was not shot or injured.
