What is it with conservatives and trying to see the nonexistant political subtext to everything? Tinky Winky and Spongebob are trying to turn our kids gay. March of the Penguins is a hurrah for "traditional values". The Incredibles might as well have been written by Ayn Rand. Etc etc etc.
Now, according to the odious, chickenhawk conservative cartoonist behind Mallard Fillmore, my beloved Veronica Mars is a conservative show.
::weeps:: I'm... I'm just speechless here. I've seen every single VM episode and I can't think of a single reason why Tinsley would consider VM a conservative show. Personally, I think he's just got a hard-on for Kristen Bell, and he's trying to justify it by reading what he wants into the show. Hell, I did that with South Park for 8 years because I couldn't admit to myself the show creators hated me.
Anyone wanna help me out here? Did I miss a Very Special Episode where Veronica & Wallace brought down NPR & the New York Times, turned in Weevil's illegal alien cousin, captured a Muslim terrorist, then funneled their Free Market gains to offshore tax shelters?
