Mark Warner is already campaigning, or might as well be.
Warner's stump speech is well-honed for a national audience. Did you see last week that Time magazine had an article on the top five governors and both of ours made the grade? :)

I've been boycotting Time magazine ever since they put Ann Coulter on the cover - *shudder* - but I'm glad they gave our governors a shoutout. Although, they pretty much had to give Mark one - he's got a 75% approval rating!

If I were campaigning for '08, I'd simply state 'I couldnt be as bad as Bush!'

Reporters who have covered him say that getting Warner to relax, even off the record, is like pulling horse teeth.

HEE. I actually think Warner is sort of attractive but he does have some giant chompers.

I agree that he needs to learn to relax around the media. The only time during his governorship I've seen him truly natural in front of a camera was during the Hurricane Isabel aftermath. I liked him before then but seeing how quickly and compassionately he moved to help the hardest hit areas (of which Richmond was one) made me fall madly in love with him. Warner in '08!
