Dynamo hit a rough patch
Dynamo have undoubtedly hit a rough patch. What seemed to be a continuation of a very promissing season hit an unexpected snag. As Dynamo were leading Porto 1:0 in the their Champions league match, thing appeared quite rosy, indeed, for Dynamo. A win would have all but placed Dynamo in the play-off stages of the Champions League for the first time since 2000. Instead, they let Porto get back into the game and score a 92nd minute winner. Just seconds after Vukojevic hit the post on his one-on-one. You don't score, you get scored on. The old Football truth was right on again. Now, Dynamo are in a far worse position and will have to fight from behind.
The loss seemed to hurt Dynamo's confidence as the next match in the Ukrainian Premier League, against the lowly FK Lviv degraded into a circus of errors and acrobatic saves by Bohush. A missed penalty kick by Aliyev, a bunch of defensive errors, a post, an injury to Mykhalyk, which took him out for 2 weeks to 2 months...
Dynamo really needed to forget about their last two matches and their reserves may have helped them do just that - they thoroughly demolished the First Division Stal Alchevsk in the Ukrainian Cup Quarterfinals...
