Congratulations,
liberal. In a disgusting display of "every man for himself," you have essentially proved what exactly is wrong with the liberal agenda. When you are handed just a little bit of power for no reason other than you are human, you thirst for more, and will run over your very own brethren to get it. People were furiously trying to drop members to take over moderation of a community - a community, for Christ's sake - because they thought that with it, would be the respect and power that goes along with being someone important. Not to mention, you'd be better than everyone else here. You make conservatism look like saint hood, and after this display, I'm inclined to think that may be true.
There was one member in particular who I was very impressed with. She took the sneaky route, and directly contacted Livejournal to point out the problem. She then offered to take over maintainership of the community. She fully intended to continue being the maintainer, but Livejournal's policy is to give the community back to the original maintainer in these cases. So it was a nice try, I give you an A+ for effort - you'd make a fantastic Senator one day.
As for the rest of you, look at what happened as a depiction of what is wrong with welfare. You do not deserve to be a moderator of this community, especially when all you do is exist, and do nothing to work for the better of yourselves, or the community at whole. But you were given the power of a mod for just a few hours, and already you were knocking each other down for more. It's eerily similar to the way welfare recipients act; they want something they don't deserve while doing nothing for anyone else, and once they are given what they don't deserve, they aren't happy - they keep pushing, begging, demanding more and they don't care who they have to step on to get it, even if it's a friend or family member.
The members of this community are downright disgusting. I look forward to retaining the position of moderator of
liberalso I can hopefully teach you ingrates how to properly behave.
