we elected a black president. it is obvious a woman can be elected as well. while gays have been hit once again with constitutional bans on gay marriage, it is apparent to me that it is only so long before the tides change (and i think it will happen fast). which, to me, leaves those of us who don't believe in god in any traditional sense. non-christians. atheists. agnostics. whatever. we aren't even in the conversation yet. no political figure would dare say they don't believe in god. to me, as a non-christian, it is the silent discrimination. in the professional realm, i would find it easier to say i was gay than that i don't believe in god.
