lynyard skynyard
so I got free tickets to the skynyard concert. it was sweet. I've never seen more rednecks in my whole life. and it was funny cuz I went with josh and nick stites. hah. we stood there like you would at one of our shows....while everyone else was drunk and dancing...just a tad outta place.
as soon as we get in there, I was like "we've gota be the youngest people here..." and then we see matt combs and dustin booth. wow. how funny! anyway I have to mention the highlights of the night. first this dude was just a bit waaaay too drunk and his friends were trying to get him outta there, but he couldn't walk. and he fell right in front of us face first and puked with his face in the ground. it was soooooo funny. then angela and I went to the bathroom and saw a frikin nine month pregnant woman wearing a belly shirt and skimpy shorts. she was big, pregnant and nasty. then we saw this fat drunk couple both trip and fall and they were too drunk to get up...so the huge lady started humping the guy. eveyone around was cheering for them. wow that was bad.
but the highlight of the night was when they played freebyrd. I was freakin out. it was perfect. and I called derek from arkansas so that he could hear it over the phone. I liked the concert cuz instead of saying "play some skynyard!" I was like "play some slipknot!" anyway on the way home, it took us 45 min to drive a 1/4 mile. and everyone around us was boldly drinking and driving and having conversatoins with us out the windows. it was great. wow rednecks.
so besides the concert, life is good. right now I'm really sick....but still going out. bleh I'm dumb. I even left classes early today cuz I was sick. my instructor was like "libby just go home if you can't stay awake I don't want to get sick too." broadcasters really value their health...too bad I'm always sick.
well I'm getting out of here. I hope that I'm feeling well enough for tonight...i want to make music for my demo. I told matt I'd be coming back to his studio like a month ago. I hope life doesn't always go like this...I wanna get somewhere. I gotta quit relying on josh's talent to get me places. tho I'm really trying to get josh somewhere too. he's too good to go to waste. I'm sorta thinking that my connections with this producer will get me up doing what I want to be doing for broadcasting as well. I seriously lucked out in meeting him. matt and I have taken a good liking to each other. and I soooo hope I'll get intern for helping with blessed union's music video. I didn't even know that band was still around...but hey! by the way, matt is the big black dude on their one front cover (cuz you know which one I'm talking about, right?) but yah, he produced all their cd's and videos. fun fun. seriously tho, I've gotta get outta here. I hope I feel better soon. my nose is really raw and on fire.
