CORNERSTONE twaz a good vacation with josh
just got back from cornerstone. there's soo much to say. to sum the week up.....
six days connected to the hip with josh. ya know the band "mewithoutyou"....well we refered to the only time we didn't spend together as peewithoutyou...cuz that's the only thing we didn't do together. but it was great. we didn't fight/argue. we debated as always, but lord almighty I'm so in love. but since he doesn't like me chatting about him, I'll stop.
anyway the best bands of the week were hanover saints, zao, calibretto, the kick, and blindside...and norma jean was pretty good. everywhere you walk at cornerstone, there is music cuz of all the random sets....and there were a lot of good random bands that we saw. some hippie stuff, some rap-core, some ska, some hardcore punk....mostly just hardcore tho.
anyway, we were sorta camped in the 513 area. it was cool cuz we were in a secluded area with only around 500-600 people near us where ususally there'd be about 5,000-6,000 people around you. but oddly enough, there were all cincinnati kids around us. cincy is really good for rock and roll. we've got it good. and we met some hardcore 513 fanatics....proud of our area code? i dunno.
anyway, josh and I swam/bathed in the lake close to 2 times a day (except saturday when it rained) and I'm sooooo tan....black. and we also went to walmart a few times....it's like 20 min away from cornerstone but the closest civilization to cstone. it was infested with cornerstoners. aaaah, how sweet it is. whatta good week.
I thought it was funny how switchfoot was playing main stage one night, but josh and I were too lazy to go like 2 feet over to watch them cuz we were that close to the main stage. we just laid there like "eh....we can hear them." it was casual all week. I loved it. we both never pressed each other for time. and we had some car issues, but we just chilled and let God put things together. it was so freakin sweet. I miss cornerstone. and I miss eating cold spagetti-o's for every meal. it's good that josh and I have the same taste buds. we decided that next year we are gonna pack nothing but sketti-o's and we'll probly go to the cornerstone in florida so we can go to the beach too...make it a 2 in one vacation.
anyway, that's all. it was a killer week. sucks that it's over. kinda glad to be home tho. I gotta go back to college, internship, and work. it's all good. I'm in love. peace out. ~Ly
