A Few Observations

May 27, 2008 10:59

And now for the monthly update...

Visiting Paul in AL and watching him graduate Army flight school was great.  And in ways I never expected, utterly depressing.

I've lost 12 lbs. now--the double chin is disappearing in pictures!

If someone offers you sunscreen, and you're planning on spending the next four hours out in the sun, you might want to accept.  (I was the one offering, not one of the many burning.)

When I watch sports by myself I feel like I'm playing 20 questions; mostly questions about the teams and the league, not about the sport itself.  When I watch sports with people who could answer those questions, none of them even occur to me.

Bachelors be advised: flattery won't get you everywhere, but if you flatter my cooking it will get you more food.  Which is good, particularly if you've been reduced to eating taco dip with no chips for dinner.  [I've lost contact with the neighbor guy, but found about a half dozen other guys to feed instead.]

This is about how life has been lately... scattered and busy.  Hope you all are doing well--I still read LJ, even when I don't post.
