Hello people. I am completely new to this fandom, only finished the trilogy a couple of weeks ago. It took me about a month to read the books, and they've been living in my head ever since. As with everything I like, it didn't take long for me to start associating songs with them, so I decided to make a mix. Then I found this lovely community and saw other people posting theirs and though, why not? Anyway, I hope you like it. All of the songs have some sort of atmosphere that, to me, fits the books. Then there's lyrics and parts of lyrics that strike me as very on point. There's no actual theme to it, but I suppose it's mostly to do with Gemma and to some extent Kartik.

has me looking in your eyes
and seeing mine warning me
to read the signs more carefully

Got no-one to call your own
Got no place to call your home
8. "Last Of The English Roses" - Pete Doherty
9. "Lille" - Lisa Hannigan
I went to war every morning
I lost my way but now I'm following
What you said in my arms
What I read in the charms
That I love durably
Now it's dead and gone and I am free
10. "Your Protector" - Fleet Foxes
You walk along the stream
Your head caught in a waking dream
Your protector's coming home (coming home)
As you lay to die beside me, baby
On the morning that you came,
Would you wait for me, the other one,
would you wait for me?
11. "Lowlands Away" - Rufus Wainwright and Kate McGarrigle
I dreamt a dream the other night
Lowlands, lowlands away my John
I dreamt I saw my own true love
Lowlands away
