Day 3 cont..
The shooting trophy is basically a competition made up of silly games and tasks which you complete in a team. There are points awarded for how well you complete the activity as well as team work and team spirit.
The Aussies made two teams, Aussie girls and Aussie Boys.
The Challenges were really creative and we found out later that the girl who came up with most of them had never actually competed in the shooting trophy before, it was her first moot so she did an awesome job!
A brief summary of each one:
Limbo: Self-explanatory except it turned into the most creative way to get OVER the pole, rather than anything that resembled a proper limbo...the rules for most of these are pretty flexible.
Knot Game: Holding hands in a circle then trying to untangle your hands
Dizzy Base-ball: The batter had to spin around in a circle 10 times, then try to hit the ball baseball style, and reach the furthest base possible, or get a home run. Our team did pretty well with two P.E teachers and a Softball player! It was great! Other teams were funny to watch, the fell over lots.
Pin the Kilt on the Scotsman: Same as pin the tail on the donkey...you get the drift
Egg Throwing: VERY MESSY, there were different markers and you had to see how far you could throw and catch a raw egg (in pairs)
Balloon Relay: In pairs again, the most creative way of holding the balloon and running it to the end and back without using your hands.
Clothesline: This one was great. It was to see how long you could make a line of clothes using only what you were wearing. LOTS of teams got naked and wrapped themselves in towels. Our team got down to almost naked. . .our line was 96metres though!!!!! The AUssie Boys did a nudy run for extra points here.
Guess the Celeb: Pics of parts of a celebrity and you had to match the names up.
HulaHoops: Points for longest hula and most creative. We built a human pyramid and the person on the top was twirling the hoops on their arms.
Eat the banana: Blindfolded we had to feed each other bananas, it turned more into a competition seeing how many bananas you could eat. One of our girls managed to consume EIGHT!!!
Tee-ball: One person had a tennis ball resting on their mouth, and the others had to hit is using another tennis ball inside a stocking, like hitting a golf ball off a tee. Different points for differnt ways of hitting.
Human Chariot Races: Piggyback race basically.
THat was the end of the shooting trophy.
That night was the Highland fling where we all dressed up in kilts. They also served us Haggis iwth our dinner for tasting, which wasn't as bad as it sounds.
THen we had a party as happens most nights at moot, everyone in costumes, it's pretty awesome!
