Everything is good in the world, because tonight I am home after a really tiring first term of my third year at uni, last Christmas term ... ever?
I packed at about 2am last night after gorging myself on Bubblegum Crisis (up to the last disc now, eeeeee!!!) and all the leftover yoghurt and one strawberry cheesecake pudding I still had in my fridge. And despite me thinking that I was being good about how much I was packing, I still ended up with five bags to take home. (No thanks to the huge pile of books I had to bring home for my Shakespeare essay. T_T) One huge HUGE wheelie bag which I've been using for years and which is really quite useless, one heavy laptop bag, two carrier bags and a rucksack. I hauled it all across the London Underground, muttering numerous expletives at the huge wheelie bag which kept overturning at really inconvenient moments, and finally, exhausted, got onto the train to West Byfleet at Waterloo.
My arms ached like crazy when I got home, but it was all worth it.
And my open return train ticket was cheaper than I thought it would be, even at peak time! I got the train at 8.30 this morning ... after going to bed at about 3am and getting up at 6.30. I went to bed soon after getting home, not surprisingly!! But it was lovely to get home at an early time and not spend half the morning faffing around waiting to get my train. I like getting early trains, even if it means I have to haul myself out of bed at an ungodly hour.
Tomorrow we are doing our traditional thing of collecting our Christmas tree in dad's Jeep, and tonight
margaretdumont is coming home.
After all the ups and downs of the last couple of weeks (and despite me seeming quite stressy on here lately, there have been a couple of really good ups) it's SO good to be home.
This is a relaxed and peaceful Rosanna, signing off. Have a good evening, everyone!!
