I've been in the SCAN office from about 10.30 to 4.30 today. Ah, it feels like last term all over again ...
It's kind of fun to be around SCAN peeps and working to a deadline again, but very draining in the end. I'm home now, and I still have to write two news articles and edit numerous stuff for the section tonight, but I'm going to take a break, have a nap and do something else before sitting down and writing.
Wokko says it's too late to have a nap now, but my sleeping patterns are so warped at the moment that I couldn't care less. If I go to bed at 3am tonight (tomorrow?) I won't care because at least I'll be able to sleep for as long as I like once SCAN stuff is all done.
In other news, I finally know when I'm going home (a week on Saturday), and I HAVE A SUMMER JOB!! I'm working at dad's work again but this time I'll be based entirely in Feltham, as far as I know, and I'll be starting about a month earlier than I did last year so I'll be getting paid more for it. And it's all good because this means that I'll be able to pay off my overdraft and still have money left over to spend on certain things! Yay!!!
Now it's just the final slog this evening and tomorrow until SCAN goes to print, and then I am officially responsibility-free until I go home.
And more good stuff - I might be going to see a local production of Much Ado About Nothing with Sooty tomorrow evening and then on Thursday I'm going out to the new night at Toast with Alina and peeps. Nathan, one of my church friends, is DJing and apparently there's going to be all sorts of eclectic and interesting music, so it should be fun!
And I will probably have at least one more night of watching anime this week. Tonight will be one, actually, once I get my SCAN work finished. Azumanga Daioh volume threeeeeeee!
