Coursework over; life is good.

I handed my coursework in, hooray! Now most of this year's work is out of the way, I can relax a bit.

Last night a load of us went out for Lora's birthday drinks at the Bobbin. It was a really fun night - I got a bit tipsy on cider and had a great time just being out at the pub with my friends. It was me, Lora, Marianna and Wokko plus Heather and Claire, Adam, Anthony, and Welshy and some of his housemates (including this guy called Steve who Lora nicknames Tim Buckley because of his mass of lovely curly hair). We had a great time sitting around drinking and chatting and singing happy birthday to Lora, and some of the people on the next table got up at that point and sang the other version of happy birthday with lots of clapping and generally being louder than us! We joined in with them, too.

The Bobbin is a great pub. They play good music and it's quite alternative so you get some interesting characters there. Marianna and Claire spent ages thinking up 22 dares for Lora (since she's 22) to carry out, and one of the ladies on the next table who must have been at least 45 suggested that one of them should be to 'grope a tattooed woman's breast'. So she lifted her top and sure enough, tattoos were visible ... and Lora had a grope. She managed to do a surprising number of the dares actually. I'm quite impressed.

Today I've been celebrating my freedom from coursework by doing ... well, mostly nothing. Watching lots of Green Wing. Drinking lots of tea. I also got bored earlier and cut a load of pictures out of old magazines and made a wall of fame (or rather, a corner of fame) in my room, which I'm dead chuffed with. It looks really funkeh! My room is my haven at the moment, so I love doing things in it which reflect me ... yeah, it's goood!!

I also spoke to Ross earlier and talked about coming down and visiting him and GOING TO EXPO on the weekend that I visit. I'm so so so so excited!!!!

Alright, I'll stop abusing the exclamation mark in a minute. After this entry is done. I'm a little bit hyper at the moment.

I just watched the repeat of Green Wing since I didn't catch it last night cos we were out. I got far too excited watching the latest episode and actually properly squeed in many many places. It was just such a darn good episode and had everything in it which makes Green Wing so brilliant. Lots of surreal comedy. Lots of slapstick comedy. Lots of just plain wrong comedy; minor characters getting the chance to shine; Boyce in a nurse's uniform (which I found disturbingly attractive); Alan and Joanna reunited in their weird disturbing way; Sue White insanity; SUE WHITE UNMASKING HOLLY, that heartless two-faced fraudulent nasty lady; Mac and Caroline OTPness; Mac being strong and funny and being so romantic towards Caroline (I thought some of the things he said were fantastically romantic in a non-obvious way) ... so much stuff that I love!!

I practically screamed at the TV when Mac was confronting Holly about her big fat lies. Holly is just the most psychotic character ever ... to pretend that she'd kept Mac's baby, the one that he was devastated that she supposedly had aborted in the first place, and then to think that it was funny when he found out the truth that Mackenzie wasn't really his son ... someone like that has something seriously wrong with them. Good thing she's fictional ...

/rant.

And there was that frustrating hook right at the end of the episode, that bombshell of Sue White revealing her morally-unsound pregnancy (getting someone's sperm from them while they're in a coma and then inseminating yourself with it has to be quite wrong), which made me yell at the TV and wish it was next Friday already.

Such a good episode though. The best one in series two so far, IMHO.

I watched Green Wing with Marianna and Wokko, and ate raspberry ice cream. And during one of the advert breaks me and Marianna ruffled Wokko's hair a lot, because it feels really nice! After Green Wing finished, we chatted for a while and tried doing the aeroplane thing where one person lies on the floor and puts their feet up and the other person holds their hands and pretends to be an aeroplane. It worked, as well!

Life is really really good right now. I'm happy and excited and positive about uni stuff, positive about my faith in God, positive about my housemates and just really chilled.

Yay for good times, and for it nearly being summer!!

uni, nights out, happiness, green wing, coursework, friends
