LONG TIME AWAY
Hi all,
I ain't dead!
How have you all been? Have I missed anything momentous?
I've been in Ireland for 5 weeks in Thesis Writing Exile hehe. I'm very, very close to having my first complete draft fiished. I'm just back in Edinburgh for 10 days now, to give a lecture tomorrow night (scary!) meet up with my supervisor and discuss progress, work a few days in the bookstore for some money and catch up with friends.
Nothing much new in my life because I've been working all the time!
There's a little bit of snow on the ground here, more will follow I'm sure. The flat is not christmassy - hardly any point as I'm only here a flying visit. Home in Ireland we have the tree up already and I'll remember to take pictures when I get back next wednesday.
I'll be writing and sending cards out this year again to the folks on my F list who got last year, so if you would also like one and didn't get one last year, or are new on the list then drop me a message :-)
I watched Bunraku at the weekend - by some miracle the DVD rental store in my little middle-of-nowhere town had it!
Must say, I'm impressed. If you've not seen it yet you are missing pots of awesome. And G is so hot when he speaks English *squee*.
Now back to my rapidly cooling cup of tea and reviewing my lecture notes for tomorrow, gah.
