Car Fun

My mother works for a car dealership, so when we need anything done on one of the cars, she takes it to the shop there at her office and gets a discount on the work.

My car is due for an oil change. I also wanted the tires rotated and balanced... so I asked her to take my car to work today to get it taken car of, and I drove hers to the commuter lot where I get my bus.

Right after I got to the office, she called me. While they had the car up on the lift, they discovered that both axel boots for the front axel were torn all to shreds and every ounce of axel grease was GONE. They said it had been like that for a long time, apparently, based on what they were seeing. Which brought up the question... well then why didnt they catch it in February when they did the state inspection on the car??

Suddenly, there is backpeddling... suddenly now it is perfectly possible for something like this to occur in as little as a week. *sighs* The truth of the matter is that the clown who did the inspection on my car is apparently the laziest, sloppiest, most ignorant dumbass they have on the premises. I am assured he is being talked to about it... but in the meantime, even WITH the employee discount, it's going to cost almost $400 to fix. So much for the last of the money left over from the sale of the Condo.
