In a debate about whether children should be forced to say the pledge of allegiance in school, one commenter stated that anybody who doesn't say it shouldn't call themselves a real American, because unless they pledge their allegiance to this country they are merely sponging off of the freedoms America allows and don't really belong here.
This was a reply to them:
So basically, I am tired of being told that if I don't pledge allegiance or I don't support the Iraq war, then I am unamerican. To be honest, i believe those who blindly follow money, power hungry men in government who fail to question such men are those who are UNAMERICAN. If you believe in America, then you believe in her right to allow citizens the freedoms to make it a better place, not just live and deal with the status quo.
That there? Is exactly how I feel. So in case anyone was curious...yeah. Thank you, drive through.
