Ggggg!
Mom is over here, visiting. That means, "free time" is now "mom time". But it's fine! :) So far I'm not too stressed, and we are going along nicely.
On Tuesday, R. came over, but when we went to answer the door for her, the lock (the only working lock on our door) broke. The round part, that turns when you turn the key, came out, and all the little metal beads spilled on the floor! >_< Needless to say, the door was still locked, and now - blocked!!
But I remembered what A. had been telling us at the Late Halloween party, about common apartment door locks being so easy to break. I called him and had him explain the procedure again to me, and then - I broke our own door lock!!! XD With a wrench, since we didn't have grozz pliers. Actually I'm not sure the term 'wrench' is the correct one, it's this tool:
So I broke it, and unblocked and opened the door. And later, mom went out to buy a new lock, but ended up buying a new door! XD It's a nice metal door. She also bought glass bricks to fill up the space above it. The new door was fitted in yesterday, today the glass bricks will be put in.
I gave some thought to re-arranging the empty room! :) I'll bring in the bookshelves from my room. I need to buy a Mikael desk from IKEA, and at least one (arm)chair. And a coffeetable, and a rug. :D And a lamp! I think it can become a nice, cozy place. Taking out the old furniture will be easy, since it's all empty. Taking out all the books from my bookshelves and putting them back in will be more of a feat, but I think it will be quite enjoyable! <3
