sooo, im back from florida! and im soooo happy to be back. considering, i now hate my entire family. because we all had to share this tiny 2 bedroom condo since my family thought it would be "fun" and it would be like "camping out" since there were to many of us. honestly, my hip hurts SO BADLY from sleeping on the hard tile floor (they dont have wood floors in florida due to hurricanes) for a week. it wasnt so fun. however, the weather was beautiful and i rented a beach cruiser, so i spent the majority of my time riding a bike and listening to my iPod...
WHICH, btw, i got for christmas. the iPod, i mean. which is SO exciting, and im not really sure how i lived without one. its awesome. i already have like 600 songs on it.. the majority of it being musical theatre, but you know what. whatever. im a loser. im learning to deal with that.
ANYWAY.
the BEST story of the week is my june carter clap story!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!
so i was in a movie theatre because my family wanted to see the chronicles of narnia, and in the lobby theyre having this huge trivia contest called "now playing", which i thought i was going to suck at since ive seen like no movies lately. but anyway.
i DID see walk the line before break with lexi and gracie, and theres this one part that spans literally about 2 seconds where they show june carter clapping, and she does the REALLY weird like, horizontal clap. but no one in the audience actually realized this considering, its really no big deal. except for the 3 of us, of course. we got OBSESSED with it. so bottom line: lexi and gracie and i have been obsessed with the june carter clap since we saw the movie.
but anyway, back to the story.
so im in the trivia game for a good amount of time, b/c they had like REALLY easy questions, and then finally they get to the final round and the guy asks the last question which is supposed to be this REALLY hard question that no one is going to get right. and the question is:
"in the movie, walk the line, based on the life of johnny cash, june carter cash does something a bit differently from how most people would do this. what does she do?"
or you know, something like that. and the answer was THE CLAP. and i IMMEDIATELY start doing the clap and singing our june carter clap song and i was SO EXCITED and then i started to scream ORANGE JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUIIIIIICEE, but then i saw everyone staring at me like i was crazy or something. not that i cant imagine why.
so yeah. basically, now i have a free ticket to a movie theatre in florida, which is completely useless to me. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay, well now that i think about it.. this was a bad story to tell on lj.. considering the only people that will really get it at all are lexi gracie and bryan. oh well. it was the highlight of my week. what can i say. happy new year everyonee
