UGH. I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW. AT MARCHING BAND IN GENERAL. ITS ALL SO STUPID.
so, today edith and i went to mr. h, brian, and jared to get them to let us march on the field with the cadence. and we were totally capable of talking to them ourselves, but michelle tagged along anyway. well, it is pretty much a lost cause..
first, they said that it was would make us look stupid walking out there with the drums, but then staying pitted for the rest of the show. which is a bunch of BS considering we did that last year, and won best drumline. we must have looked SO BAD last year that they gave us BEST DRUMLINE. W.T.F.
and then they started saying how we only have ONE OR TWO parents on pit crew. which is an even BIGGER LIE because i KNOW all the parents PERSONALLY and it includes MY OWN. so i started listing all the parents. and they had absolutely NOTHING to say about that. because they KNEW I WAS RIGHT.
so then they were like, if youre that passionate about it, well try it out at fottball games, but absolutely not for any competitions what-so-ever.
and then MICHELLE has to be all on their side and say, "i TOLD edith and lianne that you said that to me, and that you werent going to change your mind, mr. h, but they just wouldnt listen." THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN, CAPTAIN.
i mean, honestly, if this is the way its going to be, id rather carry the big heavy drums and march the whole show next year. at least we'd be considered part of the marching band. i mean, the asst director has absolutely no clue who any of the durmline members even ARE. and mr. h only worries about us like 5 minutes out of the whole rehearsal, unless were so BORED OUT OF OUR MINDS that we start talking and stuf and get in trouble. honestly, right now, we do so little and gain no respect from anyone else in the band, and rightfully so. its all so dumb. i just wanna march. and all we want is our cadence. everyone is so stupid.
