How I love preeeeetty piccies!
Hmmm...well, I finally snagged some scanlations for Full Moon wo Sagashite and after reading them I think that I like the anime more. Sure Full Moon's pictures are GORGEOUS, but for some reason the sniffling, crying "NO! I LOVE EICHI-KUN!" was more tolerable in the anime than in the manga. Also, while the manga did explain things better, especially towards the end of the story, I felt the anime dealt with Takuto and Mitsuki's relationship (actually everyone's relationships) better in the anime. The manga leaves little to the imagination and that's part of the fun. :p *Thinks* Well, Izumi and Meroko's relationship was better in the manga...but...blah.... Sap sap sap. Man, was it sappy. Maybe I would've loved the manga better had I not already seen the anime?
Anyway, because Full Moon has so much sap I think that I actually like the Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne manga better. *gasp!* I know. In my opinion, the artwork is better in Full Moon, but KKJ has this spunky zing to it that is slightly more appealing. I suppose it depends on what mood you're in. Whether you feel like seeing nothing but sugary tears and angst or if you feel like seeing episodic "checkmates" said by characters in lame-o costumes. Too bad the anime is a really stupid adaptation. :p Either way, it's allllll good.
I love Arina Tanemura stuff. I'm such a sucker for weepy, pretty pictures. ;_;
