Laptops
Anyone have any opinions about laptops? I realize most of you folks are Mac users but thats a bit too large of a commitment for me right now.
I'm thinking along the lines of desktop replacement. I'd like to have a full-size keyboard and probably 16 or 17 inch screen. Portability (and weight) is not such a big deal for me; neither are Blu-ray capabilities. I do most of my gaming on the X-Box. I'd just like something that will work for more than two years and can withstand kitten paws...how Rory loves the internets.
Also, I think I'm done with Dell. The husband has an Acer which isn't bad. Toshiba looks like they might be OK. Sony Vaio also seems OK. But aside from reading reviews at Cnet or at retail stores I'm clueless.
