Re-animator slash

Here is the part I'm writing, now it's up to someone else to finish the tale...

Title: Trapped in Cabinets
Fandom: Re-animator
Pairing: Dan Cain & Herbert West (Herban)
Rating: PG?
Wordcount: 419
Summary: Dan and Herbert are in a pickle yet again. Where shall they hide?
Disclaimer: I don't own Dan or Herbert. And they're fictional. And you can't sue me because I'm not making any profit and I don't own anything of value anyway...

Dan was unsure if the discomfort he felt was due to the re-animated monstrosities hunting him down or the fact that an unspeakable piece of Herbert’s anatomy was pressed up against his thigh. Probably both.

It was extremely humid in the medical supply closet that they had both squeezed themselves into, and it was barely large enough for Dan without Herbert pressing himself up against Dan in there too. Dan could see through a tiny gap between the door of their hiding place and its frame. The horde of beasts was just outside the closet now.

Dan was sweating in his scrubs, and he felt sorry for Herbert in his lab coat. Herbert’s eyes met his and motioned towards the door. Dan assumed he was asking if they could leave yet, and shook his head in the way that he felt most suggested that it was very foolish to exit right now. His heart pounded fast as he thought, “This is terrible. How does Herbert always get me into these situations?”

He locked eyes with Herbert again. He wondered for a moment what the look that Herbert gave him actually meant. He realised that that was probably the look Herbert gets when he is frightened. His arms were either side of Herbert anyway, so it seemed not such a big deal to hug him comfortingly. He wrapped his arms around Herbert, pulling him in even closer (if that was possible). Herbert pressed his face into his protector’s neck. Herbert’s breath was hot against his collarbone.

Dan fought back the urge to physically jump. He’d felt IT move. Herbert’s that is, not his own. Was Herbert getting excited? Dan convinced himself that is was probably the adrenaline from hiding for fear of death at the hands of deformed re-animated human/animal hybrids. Nevertheless, it still made him suddenly aware of how truly close they were in the little closet. Herbert’s breath on his neck… Herbert’s hand tightly gripping the front of his scrubs in his fist… Herbert’s face so close to his own…

It wasn’t as unpleasant as Dan thought it might be. He was lost in these thoughts for a moment before he noticed that one of the creatures passed so close to the door of the closet that its claws scraped the doorknob. It was only a small closet, hard to notice in its location, but the creatures were walking past it a fair bit. He felt that they were certain to find their hiding place sooner or later.
