So I'm thinking . . .
Maybe in two weeks I'll take myself on a picnic or something. Seriously. It's something I've never really done in my life. And I'm not counting the family trips to the park where there are picnic tables and pavilions to keep a person dry in the rainy weather. That's a family gathering, imo, not a picnic. Yes, I'm talking about the picnics in the movies and comics where you have the red and white checkered blanket that you accidentally place on top of an ant hill and where your food is in a basket.
I say I'll do this in two weeks because that's when I'll receive money on my food assistance, and I can go to the lake before I head to the store. That, and I'm waiting for a verdict on my unemployment. The Taurus has about half a tank of gas left, and I'm not driving all over creation until I know with great assurance I'll have money to refuel the damned beast. My stepdad's been tinkering with my car, but, again, I won't be driving it until I know I've got some money coming in to pay for gas and the insurance (I put the car in "storage" since it's been off the road). Searching for a job isn't going to do me any good if I've not got any money to get there. (Yes, I know I can borrow money to put gas in the car, but with the way the local economy is, there's no guarantee I'll have something before Christmas. Borrowing money adds up quick!)
Sounds like a plan, right? I think so. ^_^ And I'll even take along some stuff for me to work on while I'm having my lovely little day at the lake! Hey, maybe if I'm lucky, I can buy a laptop! Hah! XD That's me. Always the dreamer. lol
