Most surgeons are nice. People in our school's hospital are generally acceptably OK, if not nice.
But then, I have to remember that sometimes, we get to have outsiders in the team. Sometimes, these med people need higher facilities to perform the more delicate operations. Our school's hospital caters to such.
Ang masaklap lang, kung sino pa ang transient i.e., nakikigamit lang ng facilities, siya pa ang magaling magreklamo, mang-insulto
(Example: "Sa *beep* (referring to his institution), 'pag ganito, kinagagalitan ang nurses!"
Example number two: "'Pag *beep* ang procedure, may *beep* ako. Hindi ba kayo nag-prepare?" And there's more),
mag-demand ng impossible speed, at hanep magpaka-rude sa staff at sa students. I'm not even talking about some god. I saw him making a flaw sa surgery kanina, may incision siyang ginawa na 'di nakatulong sa procedure, "Gawa na lang tayo ng bago," he said so himself. (Let me clarify: negligible naman. Client's alive and okay.)
O ewan ko, first time kong makakita ng ganun eh, 'yung obvious na hindi nakaperfect ng procedure, sa more than perhaps, ten times kong nakapag-observe, five of which I was there up close. At itong taong 'to ha, hindi ko lang siya basta nataymingang bad trip. A classmate says he was like that as well, when classmate scrubbed under him. So, ganun siya talaga. Hindi pala ibig sabihin na 'pag ikaw ay gifted nito (points to temple), at 'pag ikaw ay gifted ng limpak-limpak na salapi, ay gifted ka na rin ng proper upbringing.
I know I sound so bitter.
Fine, fine. May karapatan. Doctor eh. Nurses lang kami, student nurses. Fine.
Ang 'di ko lang makuha, bakit kung sino pa 'yung prominent i.e., best in his field, at kung sino pa ang big shot, at kung sino pa ang halos may-ari ng ospital, at kung sino pa ang diyos, at kung sino pa ang hamak na may karapatang magmalaki, siya pa ang cheerful and courteous.
Bihira na talaga ang mabait na tao ngayon.
