Wow my life MUST be getting more interesting considering how few and far between my live journal entries have become!
Well i guess i really haven't done all that much, although i feel like i've grown up a shit load lately.
I always thought growing up was a gradual, continual process. But it's not. Growing up happens in spontaneous bursts as reactions and revelations to different things that are happening around you at the time. I feel i've grown to a point where life really means something to me. Every challenge or idea that comes that i once found crippling, now has the ability to thrill me to the point where i'll pursue it's path until the end, win or lose. And at each path's end there is no loss. You can't put a jigsaw puzzle together if you chose only to use the light coloured pieces.
Enough self indulgent philosophical rants though. All the things i have been doing can be boxed into a few small subjects. These boxes are labelled:
-Drinking
-Working
-Sleeping
-Living
-Learning
Of which, for anyone who knows me well enough, each are as important as the next. My highlights so far are clouded but i'll just go with some random shit:
- That particular night that involved Mon and I ending up at a particular club...
- Seeing My Disco! play at The Stage on Smith St. Getting stupidly drunk with Rob. Sitting on that fuckwits lap for a free beer (more to this story, i'll get into it another time). Buying dumb shit from 7eleven on the way home.
- The night i met Leah at Pony bar, after first noticing her at Cherry bar. Getting stupidly drunk with Rob. Resolving an hilarious dispute between Robin's friends who were more than friends but she was a hussie. Asking Leah for a lighter. Spending the night in her bed.
- Talking to crazy goth girls at Ding Dong lounge with Mon. Wierdos.
- When Sean came. I love you man.
- Hanging out with Claire, Lauren, Rob, Marissa and Kelly, at the Arthouse and bumping into Dave, Flynn, and Dave while we were there, all of us completely fucking drunk.
- Getting my job at Paragon cafe. Who would have thought rich fat Greek bosses could actually be really awesome people? I sure wouldn't have thunk it.
- The Hot Snakes at the Corner Hotel. Getting stupidly drunk with Sean, Sasha and Erin. Dancing to the Hot Snakes. Meeting Paul Dempsey there and shaking his hand like the fucking little freak fan boy that i am. :D
- All the awesome drunken nights and the splendiferous 159a Elgin St. with Rob, Mon, Sean, Marissa, Kelly, and other randoms who have sometimes made appearances. (2 bedroom houses should not and do not really accomodate such volumes of people living there for any long period of time hah)
- All the awesome drunken nights out with Leah and her crazy friends.
- All the awesome sober/drunken nights at Leah's house, with Leah, just drinking wine/or not drinking wine and talking. awwww.
Yep, Melbourne sure is great! I should add as well, going out to eat is always a great experience too.
My next steps definately involve getting me into a new place as i'm going fucking crazy with so many of us in such a small place. The politics and heirarchical movements are now a dense web of friction, caused by all sorts of different sparks... I think we all still love each other though, which is the most important thing innit. In any case i plan on being somewhere else by two weeks and hopefully not much fucking more! :P
In other news, my parents and my sister have come down to stay for the weekend so we've all been hanging out at my Uncle's house. It's been really nice, i've never missed my family so much before. Hmm not much else coming to my head so i guess i'll stop ranting. Thanks for reading so far if you managed it.
I miss you all at home dearly. You should all come and visit me at some point soon. You'll always be welcome in my house. I will most likely be in canberra for a few days around the july 22nd mark. Yeah thats right, birthday party!
