Yeah it's been a bit.
Melbourne was awesome, i had such a relaxing time. I was suprised to note i was aware of my usual state of high stress anxiety and it's cycles into a state that i forgot how to feel. Being completely relaxed for the first time in forever did me a lot of good. Hanging out with Sean was awesome, you're rad Sean i love you. My auntie who we stayed with was funny, i love her too but she annoyed me a little bit. I find she has a very narrow, safe point of view on everything, but if it works for her then so be it!
We missed out on all the shows, but i bought a few records to make up for it and lose my money. As far as i recall this is what i bought:
Planes Mistaken For Stars - Up In Them Guts
My Disco - Language of Numbers 10"
Still Life - From Angry Heads With Skyward Eyes
I also had the best fucking cup of coffee ever on the first night, in the city, with Sean, and a newspaper. Then Owen met up, then we got drunk, and Sean put 'Born Slippy' on the fucking jukebox and the three of us laughed chatted and laughed more, it was so fucking cool.
The weekend after that, GBG played in Sydney, at Vic on The Park, with The Dirty Sheets, Angela's Dish, and the ever rocking The Reason :)
It was a cool but crazy show, so many people to meet in so short a time. Soooo tired, so hazy. It was amazing to actually have good sound for once, and there was a little crowd watching which was rad too. It was a good way to gear up for our show on Oct 9 at the Arncliffe. The Reason were way better than last time and they were good last time. Fucking awesome, me and Guy danced to them.
Owen was also there for quite a while it was rad that he was ther. It was good to see Karen and Adam there too, sort of familiarised everything a little more... It was late and we were pissed ok... It's late and im tired ok...
The highlight of the night was definately when some butch bar lady was wiping down a table when they were shutting and her cloth got Guy's arm.
'ARGHH The lesbian just wiped my arm!!'
She heard it and he got kicked out, hahah fucking gold.
Anyway was rad to play, see the bands, meet all the new people, and catch up with a few friends already known.
Hmm this week has been ok, just been hanging out with my new girl Louise. She's the best... <3 hahah sik
Back up to sydney from Fri till Mon morning to play some shows. Awesome i can't wait.
I promise i'll update more often to those who keep asking, coz i tried to be as concise as possible with this post, so much is going on at the moment!
