WEEKEND: Wow, what a weekend! I saw Emma and that was fuckin awesome. Spilling beer all over her is not cool, however. It's kinda cool how much she pissed herself laughing about it though, while i nearly cried. She only hung out with me and Guy for the friday and till Saturday arvo. We saw Staying At Home, The Hot Lies, After The Fall, and Grand Fatal at the Annadale hotel on friday though. Staying At Home were awesome as usual, i really liked Grand Fatal too.
On Saturday we went to the city for a while and met Karen out there and went to Newtown. Resist Records is way cooler than i thought it would be, for some fuckin stupid reason i didnt buy the new Planes Mistaken For Stars album that i saw there though! Painted Black (or is it Paint it Black?) was heaps cool too, lots of thrashy screamo bands there. I bought Antioch Arrow - In Love With Jetts, from there for $15...... ON VINYL!! woah so cool!
In the evening we went to Guy's sister's place in Annadale, really nice place too. I am still in love with her flatmate Corinne, i'm sure i'll get over it soon... She's too old... Anyhow......... That night i got rather drunk, and then really fucking stoned. Liam + Stoned = really really bad.... We went to the Annadale again just coz Corinne got us in free seeing as she works there, and saw The Cops and Dallas Crane and some Jimi Hendrix/Willy Nelson/Deep Purple/somebluesband, band. I dont think i liked any of the bands, i dont remember. The last mentioned band played a really cool blues song before we left though, quite amazing. We all thought it was cool back in the 'Drizzle Guitar Behind Yer Head Solo' days right? Well this guy was playing behind his back! nuff said... Then we went back and got more stoned, even though at some stage during the night i had decided to hide in a dark alleyway for fear i was so fucked i might look like a junkie and people would bash me.... look at my word/sentence/grammar/paragraph/ contruction still, 5 nights later goddamit!... what's new pussycat. :O The rest of that night was the best.

On Sunday we sat on the couches and listened to music all day before driving home in the evening with Emma, who is Guy's sister, but not Emma from Friday. Got home bout 9:30 that night, my parents looked at me strange and concerned, went to bed before work on Monday at 8am.

Saw the same bands from Friday, Wednesday night at the Green Room. I bought the new Off Minor cd, a Forstella Ford cd and Light The Fuse And Run 7inch. Today i bought Rock Action by Mogwai.
Mixed down the bass tonight for the new GBG cd, and bounced the tracks so i could hear it all together. It sounds fucking good for a demo i dare say. The tracks blend in together nicely as well, but everyone's doing that shit these days (wooshy sounds in between the songs, maybe i should come up with some wanky conceptualized concept about the conceptualization of the whooshy noise concepts) . So really just vocals to go and it's all done. I'm thinking of paying and getting it pro-mastered, i think the mixdown is good enough for that. I'd do it myself but i'm more likely to just fuck it up. Give up the tweaks while i'm still ahead eh.
YAY getting drunk tommorow night...
