I am the biggest klutz in the world

*Sigh*
Where do I start.......

Well I'm convinced that my children have inherited my clumsy gene.

About 4 weeks ago Liam fell over and went face first into one of the bar stools which was pressed up against the bench - meaning that there was nowhere for the stool to move so his face took the whole brunt of the fall. He was screaming and there was blood everywhere so it was really hard to tell what he'd done. At first I thought that he'd cut that bit of skin that joins your gum and top lip but when he calmed down enough I realised that all the blood was coming from around his front teeth. I kind of panicked a bit thinking he's knocked his teeth loose, but they seemed okay. After some panadol he seemed fine, but the next day he was screaming when he tried to brush his teeth and I noticed that his teeth were slightly discolored. So I took him to the Drs and the Dr said they are fine as long as they are not loose. If they are loose he would have to go to a dentist.
So fast forward to Wednesday.  Liam is jumping on the couch just after I've told him off for  it and he suddenly starts screaming and is holidng his mouth. Exact same injury again except this time after he's calmed down it doesn't seem to be hurting at all so I give him some panadol just incase and don't worry about it. So yesterday I was changing his nappy and I notice that his teeth look even more discolored. I went to touch them and they moved - A LOT. I freaked out and had a bit of a fit. You know how some people are funny about touching eyeballs and shit - well that's me and teeth so I kinda lost it a bit. I rang the dentist and they said bring him in. So I got Brian to take him cause I knew I would cry if I had to hold him down. Brian rang me after and said that only one of his teeth was loose and the dentist was concerned that either the tooth had broken inside the gum or that the bone holding the tooth in was broken. I was like:

The xray says that the bone is broken.

But apparently that is good. It is better for the bone to be broken than the tooth. The dentist said that once the bone heals the tooth wont be loose any more. Funny thing is he doesnt seem to be in any pain at all. The dentist said that he shouldn't be - but if he knocks it you'll know about it.

So that's the Liam story. Now there is me.....

Let me start by saying:

How embarrassing!!

Last night I went and met Kylie after work and we decided to go to the pub for coffee (that's pretty embarrassing itself that we're going to the pub just for coffee). So we're walking across the road and I go to step up the gutter and I honestly don't know what I did but I went for a really, really big six.  Right outside the windows of the pub. Anyway one of my knees took the brunt of the fall and it hurt like a mother when I did it, but you know how it's really embarassing so you play down how bad it is. The whole time we're in the pub it was killing me, but I just ignored it. When I got home I iced it and went to bed, but I kept waking up cause every time I moved it would fucking kill. I get up this morning and I pretty much can't walk. So Brian makes me go to the doctors. The doctor moves it around that much that I seriously thought I was going to pass out from the pain. She thinks I may have broken my kneecap so I go and have an xray. Luckily it's not broken but she thinks I've torn ligaments so it's got this massive bandage on it and I'm supposed to keep off it for a few days.

How fucking embarassing.

Anyway, I'm off to wallow in my own pity.

Kylee
