Somewhat convinced that I bombed the LSAT. Honestly, I either bombed it or did just fine, and I'd much rather set myself up for good news than bad news. I actually feel worse about it now than I did when I left the exam yesterday though--like some sinking feeling in your gut that sets in way late. I guess all I want is something over 160? I want to

The Rolling Stones say "can't always get what you want" ("I want something over 160") "but if you try, sometimes you find you get what you need."
As for "it will be really embarrassing if I fall short of the 155 for UMD" once you open the envelope and read the score - who needs to know the number except you unless you tell them? If you do not tell them the number (if it is short) they know you are not in, but do not know your number. No-one's business except yours - not even parents or brothers & sisters.
Besides, these things are comparative: In a really good year if UMD says "minimum" 155 and everyone else has (eg) 165, you could score 164 and "fail" - so, unless you tell people your numbers, they may know you've "failed" - IF!!! - you fail - but not what your numbers are!
Second: Plan B: What is YOUR Plan B? In case you "fail"? If UMD & AU offer their "Holy Grail" places to everyone except you - what are YOU going to do? Decide that NOW - not as a reaction when you open that envelope (that way if they offer you a place, you can throw away Plan B).
Do you re-apply to those two schools next time around? (and get a job in the time in between?)
Do you apply to other law schools? (and get a job in between?)
Is it too late to put in late applications at other law schools?
Do you walk away and never apply anywhere again?
What do YOU do?
Only YOU can answer those questions
Good luck!
