Say hello to Konad Nail Art Stamping - nail art made easy. Really easy.


Okay maybe it's not that easy, cos it took me a few slips there and a whole rainbow of curses before I finally got the hang of it. You should watch the video, it's really cheesy, but pretty cute.

It seems really easy in the video but that damn SPECIAL nail polish doesn't stick VERRY easily. I stumbled upon it on a spree page and apparently it's been around for quite awhile already so it's me who's lagging behind harhar. I bought the basic set for 20 bucks, got the basic scraper and stamp, along with 2 "special" nail polishes and one image plate. I still think it's overpriced.



So I immediately went home and tried it out:




I'm pretty mixed about it cos you rarely get a complete pasted down stamp of the design when you pick it up from the plate, and you gotta be really gently yet quick to get the whole design placed properly. And, it doesn't work with OPI or ORLY's top coat because it'll just smudge the whole thing off. It only works with Konad's "special" top coat. (which I obviously did not purchase)

I don't know whether I should hate it or love it. And I'm really irked about how they name their products. Couldn't they have thought of a better name than "special"?
